Fun Packed Weekend

This past weekend was jam packed with lots of fun.

Friday
Owen had a Camp out party at his school. Thanks to Lois (Alex's mom) for sending me pictures since I forgot my camera! (Happens more now that there are 2...)
Friday night I went to a bridal shower for an old co-worker. It's been awhile since I've been to a wedding shower so it was fun to see the new games/ideas people had. One of them was making a wedding dress with a partner out of toilet paper. It was fun:)

Afterward they were going out for the bachelorette party. I declined this portion of the evening since it was already late (ok, it was 9:45) and late nights/drinking heavily don't really go with being a new mom. But they looked like they were going to have lots of fun!

Saturday
Saturday morning the boys got their hair cut. Owen did pretty well despite the fact that the battery for the DVD player died right as it was time to cut his hair. Ugh.

After that I went to a baby shower for our friend Jill. She is having a little girl in September and we can't wait!!

After the shower we went to Jeff and Jill's house (different Jill than above) for their neighborhood block party. It was so much fun and their was lots to do for the kids.

Sunday
On Sunday it rained all morning (unfortunately for Brett who was trying to go play golf) and then got ridiculously hot. We managed to get in some yard work which desperately needed to happen but man, was it steamy. Felt like Houston again.

In the afternoon we went over to our church carnival that was happening literally 1/2 a block from our house. It was fun with rides for the kids and food.

Another car ride that whips you around. We thought he'd be scared but he loved it. Apparently he's a little dare devil because he wanted to ride the roller coaster and the ferris wheel too.

Such a fun weekend! We can't wait for this weekend because we leave for the lake. Be on the lookout for all kinds of fun posts.

10. There are half-full, brightly-colored plastic cups on the floor in every room. Three are in the bathtub.

9. There's always that one girl, bawling her eyes out in a corner.

7. You sneak off to the bathroom knowing that as soon as you sit down, someone's going to start banging on the door.

This past weekend we went to Philadelphia for my cousin Jill's wedding. It was great!

On Saturday my Aunt and Uncle had a pig roast at their house. It was lots of fun:)

They had a blow-up pool which Owen spent 2 hours in. We had to forcefully extract him as his lips were completely blue!Inside Owen discovered a piano. It was the first time he's seen one and he really enjoyed playing it.

The kids did really well sleeping in the hotel. It was good to have them in close proximity as now I feel better about having them share a room since the two of them didn't seem to disturb each other while sleeping too much.

On Sunday we visited my Aunt and Uncle before heading to the airport to come home. The weekend went way to fast but we had a great time.
