On Friday school had a Fall Harvest Party and the kids got to dress up. The Pre-K room put on a performance during which Owen stood in the corner and pouted. I think the extra people proves to be too much for him and he gets stage fright.
The very dreary dragon
Our little princess
On Saturday we headed to Toledo to celebrate Owen's birthday with our family. The party was on Sunday so Saturday afternoon was spent hanging out and pumpkin carving with Papa Jim. So fun!
And on Sunday we had everyone over to Brett's parents house for a party. Owen was so excited!!! He specifically asked for a Dragonfly party so that was the theme this year.
There was a dragonfly magnet craft which everyone except Owen had lots of fun participating in:)
Owen isn't a chocolate fan so we made vanilla cake ball pops and decorated them with dragonflies. The icing was a little hard to work with so they were a bit abstract but it still turned out cute.
Singing Happy Birthday...note, Gus was not singing which was not OK with Owen. Hilarious!
After all the sugar the kids ran outside for a little while.
After that everyone came inside and it was time for presents. Owen was so excited and got so many great things!!!!
One of the funniest things is that when Owen would open a book he wanted to look through it right then and there. His cousin Bennett wanted to see what else Owen got, so he ended up turning the pages to make the process go faster. It was hysterical.
The girls had lots of fun with each other too. So sweet:) I can't wait to watch them grow up together.
My Mom's birthday was that Sunday too and we made her a little something that I saw on Pinterest. Making penguins out of the kids' feet. Love it!!!
