Memorial Day Weekend

We had a pretty low-key weekend but still managed to squeeze in some fun.

Owen has been wanting Bash and Dash from Thomas for about 6 months now. They didn't make them around Christmas time but I found one of them recently. And Papo and Nonna Barbara found the other one. So, we picked a time when he was behaving (which took awhile recently) and gave them to him. He was SO excited.

They had some fun hanging out watching a movie in their chairs. Like zombies.

On Monday the kids and I went to visit my friend Kristy and her daughter Ava. We took a trip to Ikea and piled all of the kids in the car. It was so much fun!

Monday night we visited with Maddi's Godfather Jeff, his wife Jill and their new baby John.

Maddi is growing so fast:
-she's starting to walk a few steps on her own
-has learned to say "moo"for a cow noise

Thank you to all of the men and women out there serving in our military to keep our country safe and free.

More Party Fun

We had another birthday party this weekend for Owen's friend Ethan. It was at a play place and we all had lots of fun.

There was a special area that Maddi had lots of fun in.
At the end they did a balloon drop that all of the children loved!

Happy Birthday to...Me!

Hard to tell from this post since it's all about kid's birthday parties, but today I turned a year older too.

It was a great weekend. My mom was in town so we did some shopping, Brett and I went to dinner on our own and we got to spend lots of time together as a family.

On Sunday, we had two birthday parties to go to. The first one was for Owen's classmate Helen. It was at a giant inflatable place and was a blast.

After that party, we went to Noemie's party. She is Maddi's best friend at school. They are one week apart in age.

During the weekend the kids also had fun "helping" me with the laundry.

All in all it was a pretty good birthday weekend. It makes me laugh at how different times are now that we have children:)

Maddi is growing like a weed:
-It seems like all of her remaining teeth are coming in at once
-She's trying really hard to walk
-She's really good at starting to imitate the sounds of words that we make and it won't be long before she is chatting up a storm I'm sure

Happy First Birthday Jelly!

1 year ago today we welcomed a baby girl into this world. The last year has flown by but we couldn't imagine life without her.

We tried a cupcake again but she wasn't real into it.
Although once we scraped all of the icing off she was pretty excited about eating the cake.

Maddi says "ahhh" after taking a sip. Too funny.

She opened most of her presents in Ohio over the weekend, but she received a little package from her Godmother with all kinds of fun girly things in it!

In the morning Owen was showing off his muscles. Hilarious!
