November Roundup

Owen's new Pre-k teacher has been assigning lots of home projects. At first I thought it was a pain but we are really enjoying them. And being the crafter I am, I'll admit I feel a bit competitive to have Owen's be the BEST project in the class;)

One of the projects was to create a 3D farm animal. We made a kitty per Owen's request.

And as we finished up a tub of pretzels, Brett had the great idea to turn the container into a pig!

All of the families did a great job. Here are some of the other animals. so creative!

As you could probably tell, their unit was the farm. I took pictures of some other work Owen made in class. I can't get enough of it, it's so cute!

I took some pictures of other projects hanging around his room.
This one is a family portrait.

Part of their mailbox exercise was writing letters. Owen wrote one to me and told me he wants to go to the movies. Precious!

You may remember that I posted the weather board we made at the end of October. Here is a shot of the ones his classmates made.

Lunch at the grocery store:)

She is such a girly girl and loves her new furry boots!!!

Playing with the little people house that was mine as a little girl.
 So sweet!!!!

We turned Maddi front facing this month. She didn't seem as excited as we thought she would be but I think she just didn't know what was going on.

My friend Kristin and I went to a gourmet grilled cheese place one night. Mac n cheese grilled cheese, YUMMMMMMMM!

Poor Owen had another big ouchie at school after running into a metal ball container. Luckily it didn't result in another trip to the ER, but it sure doesn't look good.

Hard to believe another month flew by, but we are ready for December!!!!!!

Thanksgiving Weekend

We are making the most out of our time off and having fun as a family as well as getting things done around the house.

Before we get rid of the pumpkins, the squirrels are enjoying a free lunch!

And of course we HAD to put up the Christmas decorations. I was so excited I could hardly stand it!!!!!

Owen also had a building project for school. He was in charge of building a log cabin. After some consideration, we decided to build using pretzel sticks! It turned out pretty great. I think I have more fun than Owen creating things but that's okay:)

All in all it was a pretty low-key but great weekend:)
