February Roundup

Another month flew by and we even got an extra day!!! Time for some artwork that we've collected over the month. (sorry, blogger is turning some of the photos oddly)

What a great month!

Visit from Nonni Pat

This weekend Brett's Mom came to visit and we had lots of fun!!!!

On Saturday we went to Target in the morning to see Dr. Seuss. Nonni Pat treated the kids to some fun new toys and Easter clothes as well. And then she and I went to IKEA. I love IKEA. We spent 4 glorious hours there.

 Brett helped Pat put together some of the furniture she bought which made Walli very happy

On Sunday we relaxed and then went to church. Took some shots of the kids dressed up together and they were being so sweet.

Mr. Fish

Owen is really enjoying swimming lessons and is doing so well for only being 4 lessons in. It's really quite amazing how well he is doing at the new school.

This school is all about survival swimming and this week they went swimming with their clothes on to get a feeling for what it would be like if they fell into the water this way. Really good idea. Of course the kids thought it was hilarious.

Owen is learning to float on his back and is doing pretty well, with a little nervousness still but that is to be expected. Couch Doug is so good with them.

 

 

 

Fun-filled Weekend

First off, from last weekend I forgot to post pictures of the yummy dinner I made off of Pinterest. Buffalo Chicken Crescent Rolls. They were to die for. So good!!!

My Mom was in town this weekend and we had a blast. Saturday we did lots of shopping which is always fun! On Sunday evening my Mom and I went to see South Pacific which was very nice. Monday, the kids, my Mom and I all went to see the musical Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. It was so cute!!! We took Maddi since Brett was working and daycare was closed so Maddi came for this show and she really seemed to enjoy it. (sorry, pics are poor quality)

Party Time

The kids had their annual Hearts Party at school on Friday. They had fun decorating cupcakes, passing out valentines and doing some crafts.

On Saturday, the boys went to the Monster Truck Jam!!!! After getting over the fright of the noise, Owen really go into it. Although he wouldn't let Brett take any pictures (so he says.)

Brett did get some videos, although they are in slow motion so it takes awhile to get to the good part...

Here Fishy Fishy

Owen started a new swim school last week an is already becoming a little fish. Today was his second lesson and he's doing things like floating and putting his face in the water which he didn't do in the last 2 years at the other place.

One of his favorite parts is that he gets to wear a swim cap. I thought this was going to be a deal breaker but it turns out wearing a cap is pretty exciting when you are 4. Who knew?

It's him and 3 other boys. They are really cute together. (Owen is second in from the right.)

Happy Birthday Walli!

Yesterday our little kitty turned 10:) She got a fun new toy and still played like a little kitty, it was so great to watch.

My name is Alexis, and I'm addicted to Pinterest. And not ashamed of it!!! For dinner Saturday night we had 2 dishes courtesy of the site. Parmesan Tilapia and Avocado Salad. Yummy.

Tonight I made Oreo Bark and can't wait to dig in.

And lastly, I made the kids' Valentines for school. I had already picked up the bubbles, but I was inspired to make the rest from an idea I saw on Pinterest (naturally.) They turned out so cute!!!
