Maddi got her first hair cut this weekend! It really just needed a trim because I was tired of it hanging in her eyes but it looks so much better.
As with most new things, she was pretty skeptical at first, but I think the fact that her brother and Daddy were getting their hair cut at the same time helped (which is why we don't have a tone of pictures. sorry maddi, i know you'll probably be in therapy for this one day since your brother's first hair cut was an all out event.)
Owen and I also attended the theater on Saturday. We went to the see "If you give a cat a cupcake." It was adorable!!!!!

Visit with the Rivero Family
It seems so easy and wonderful when it's not your own;)
Totally unrelated, but the other day I walked past the Apple store after Steve Jobs passed away. As a memorial, people were posting notes of his quotes, messages, etc. on the store. They left them up there for at least a week. It was a really neat tribute that I wanted to share.

OU Girls Weekend!
This past weekend I went to Ohio to hang out with my some of my best girlfriends from college. I haven't seen them in a few years, so it was so great to get together. And I haven't been back to my college in 10 years so it was really interesting to see how much it changed!
We could not have lucked out more with the weather. The nights were cool and the days were super sunny and about 80 degrees. It was bliss!!!!!! The leaves were changing which made it extra beautiful.
My friend Char found an awesome cabin in Hocking Hills, about 30 minutes outside of Athens. It was beautiful.
Friday night we just hung out waiting for everyone to arrive and then had a family style dinner. After dinner, we enjoyed Kim's old photo albums. Yikes, how much we have all changed:)
On Saturday we took our time getting up and getting ready. Most of us have children so this was quite a treat:) Before heading to Athens we were able to get some cute group shots on the deck.
Then, we headed in to Athens to visit our old Alma Mater, Ohio University. For those of you who have never been there, it is such a beautiful college campus nestled in the hills of Southeast Ohio. The university is the town and I enjoyed every minute of the 4 years I spent there.

Saturday night we went back to the cabin, watched Bridesmaids and hung out. Sunday morning we got up, had breakfast and said our goodbyes. It was such a great time, I really hope we do it again. My weekend was complete with a beautiful sunset on the flight back to Chicago.
Thanks girls for such a fabulous weekend. It was so good for the soul.
