Christmas 2011

We had a nice relaxing day today, which was much needed since 3 of the 4 of us are sick (Maddi and Brett got it the worst with Owen being spared.)

We woke up and had breakfast and played around a little before opening presents. I was shocked that Owen wasn't anxious to open gifts but went with it.

 The most exciting gift for Owen was the monster trucks he asked Santa for, and Santa got it right!!!

Around lunch time Gigi came down for lunch and fun! The kids went down for a nap and Brett, my mom, Pat and Jim went to see a movie. The kids and I played for awhile and when they got back we had a YUMMY chicken parm dinner by Pat.

After dinner we had present opening Round 3 with Gigi.

 

 

 

 

We were supposed to leave for my Mom's tonight but due to illness, we decided to hang out one more night. My mom left, the kids went to bed and we played some cards. What a great day.

Christmas Eve

This morning we went to Winter Wonderland in Toledo. It has a bunch of holiday displays set up, a train ride and you can visit Santa which we still needed to do so it worked well (Good idea Pat!)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

After all of this excitement, we headed home for lunch and naps before going to Mass. After Mass we headed down to Perrysburg for a Xmas Eve celebration with Brett's brother and his family. The kids were SO excited to see their cousins.

 

 

After a fabulous time at their house, we came home to put out reindeer food and cookies for Santa and get ready for a good night's sleep!
